Terma Bania
Terma Bania in Białka Tatrzańska runs 15 pool basins and water slides whose combined length is over 300 metres, and the operator says the attractions stay on regardless of the weather outside. A saunarium of over 1,000 square metres sits beside them. In summer a separate 2,400-square-metre outdoor zone opens under the High Tatras.
Water from 2,500 metres
Terma Bania sits at Środkowa 181 in Białka Tatrzańska, not in Kraków. The operator’s thermal-pools page says the indoor and outdoor basins are filled with geothermal water at 34–38°C. The water is taken from 2,500 metres down, where it starts at 78°C. Heat is taken off before it reaches the pools, and the page says the microelements stay. It names sulfides, silica, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron, and a slightly acid pH. The idea of the complex is dated to 2006. Construction, under an EU project titled “New Water Park: Geothermal Innovation in Therapeutic Recreation Services”, ran from 2009 to 2011. The building uses stone and wood from Podhale.
The homepage counts 15 pool basins and slides whose combined length is over 300 metres, plus geysers, water cannons, jacuzzis and an artificial wave. It states that these attractions work independently of the weather and of the temperature outdoors. The fun-zone page names the slides: a family slide, a twisting Anaconda, Pontoon, and Turbo for older guests. In that zone it also lists water carousels, cannons and cascades, a wave pool, a cave with a geyser, a waterfall, benches for massage from below and from the side, a rapid river and jacuzzi tubs. A water playground on the mezzanine has a water laboratory of interactive toys and a small slide. A new outdoor pool in the fun zone opened in December 2025, with sun loungers, water swings, a wild river and a water bar where orders are taken from the pool. Because the outdoor water is the same 34–38°C, the fun-zone page says those pools stay usable in a hard winter.
A quiet pool, a sauna garden, a summer yard
The relax zone is the quiet one. It has two indoor pools that continue outdoors, filled with the same thermal water, and a view of the High Tatras. The page lists an indoor jacuzzi, a bar in the water, and two textile saunas you can use in a swimsuit: a Finnish sauna at up to 100°C and 20% humidity, and a herbal sauna with a view at up to 65°C and 50% humidity. Beside them are a cooling basin at up to 10°C and a trough of snow. Massage gear runs along the pools: bottom geysers, side jets, cascades, water-air couches, lashes and counter-currents. The sun terrace around the outdoor pools has over 200 deckchairs. A self-service restaurant and a cocktail bar look toward the High Tatras and the Belianske Tatras.
The saunarium is a separate zone of over 1,000 square metres. The sauna page describes a Russian banya in the garden, wood and stone, up to 80°C and 20% humidity, next to a cooling pool and a nudist sunbathing zone; a Fir House, a highland cottage lined with fir twigs, up to 60°C and 30% humidity; and two Finnish saunas at up to 100°C. The homepage also gives this zone a cooling pool for swimming, a relaxation pool, a brine graduation tower and a jacuzzi. The summer zone is another yard, 2,400 square metres, and the summer page limits it to favourable weather in the summer. When it is open the page lists a wet playground, an inflatable water playground of almost 400 square metres, a three-track slip of over 150 metres, a family slide, a water cushion and a sun terrace of over 500 deckchairs. FAQ
Is there a step-free route, and how do I get there from Kraków?
The homepage does not describe a lift, a step-free route or an assistance-dog rule. It also does not name a bus line, a stop or a walking time. The address is Środkowa 181, 34-405 Białka Tatrzańska. The phone is +48 18 261 25 40 and the email is bok@termabania.pl.
What time does Terma Bania open, and is the outdoor zone always there?
On 29 October 2026 the homepage listed the building as open 9:00–22:00. The summer-zone page said that 2,400-square-metre yard was closed until next year. Its own rule is favourable weather during summer, not a year-round hall. Confirm both on termabania.pl for the day you go.
Does one ticket cover the slides and the saunarium?
The homepage prints the aquapark from PLN 53 a person and the saunarium from PLN 57, plus bundles such as play plus relaxation from PLN 63 and family rest from PLN 199 for three people. The figures are “from” prices. Buy against the zone list on the day, not against a single headline number.
